Curioscity is an informal but informative science show for everyone. Learn alongside Calvin Yeager as we discuss topics including biology, chemistry, virology, technology, and general science in a lighthearted and digestible way.
Curioscity was first envisioned in late 2018, inspired by podcasts like TWiV, Big Picture Science, and If I Were You.
Calvin is a doctoral graduate student in Craig E. Cameron’s lab at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a fondness for science, education, and instrumentation of both scientific and musical origin. He received a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry from Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, in 2016 but resided in northern California until adulthood.
Curioscity brings education into and beyond the Research Triangle, specifically aiming to discuss topics of relevance to the tax-payer and to human scientists.
Curioscity is a proud member of MicrobeTV, an independent podcast network for people who are interested in the life sciences. Our shows are about viruses, microbes, parasites, evolution, and even urban agriculture. MicrobeTV was founded in 2015 by Vincent Racaniello, a professor of Microbiology & Immunology at Columbia University. Curioscity debuted in 2019 on the MicrobeTV network.
